I have been on board a 435 at the La Rochelle
boat show in 2006. Have not sailed on one.
This was the first of the (I think) 4 boats thay have built to date. As with all boats, don't rely on other peoples opinions, find an owner who will let you visit, without the builder/salesman present. Talk to them and ask questions like:
Did they deliver on time?
Can I see your log book to get an idea of actual performance?
What issues have you had with........????
What have you replaced?
What would you do differently?
I think there is one in Belgium at present, otherwise ask Gideon to link you up with his owners.
After having a look around the
boat I decided to design my own, but there are lots of good features in the build of the
boat and systems design that Gideon shares openly.
What I didn't like?
The "boxy" look and feel which is totally subjective.
The protrusions between the hulls to make space for the very large beds.
Some of the finish inside could have been better.

Alan
