Prout Snowgoose Bilge Pump System

Hello! I am new to this forum, as I just recently purchased my boat, so I am looking for a bit of guidance! I just purchased a 79 Prout Snowgoose 37. Its in pretty decent condition for its age, but does need some TLC. One of the things I noticed is that there are no bilge pumps, and I am at a bit of a loss of where to put them. (I've marked the layout below which is the same or similar to mine with colored marks to show the issue. Usually the pump goes in the lowest point on the boat, which is the forward keel, right under the shower and front berth floor (Green Arrows) but it is only an inch or possibly two wide, and wouldn't accommodate a bilge pump (at least from what I have seen at West Marine and from what I can tell online). Secondly, there is water accumulating underneath the aft berths in the lockers (red arrows) and it isn't going anywhere. if I were to drill a hole from the aft berth locker to the floor, then through the floor to drain, the water would have to travel the length of the boat through a flat, 1 inch deep by 18 inch wide bilge under the flooring that runs the length of the hulls, over the water tanks (blue rectangles) to the open keel that is forward. (See the 2nd diagram). Please forgive anything in diagrams that aren't to scale...

My questions are:
1. How should/could I rig up a bilge to pump out the lowest point, and if I do rig that, how should I get the water from the aft berths and bridgedeck to drain all the way forward into that lowest bilge?

Thanks and your help is greatly appreciated!

Re: Prout Snowgoose Bilge Pump System

i've got an '85 snowgoose 37' and it has manual bilge pumps where you show the green arrows. each pump has a black 1 inch hose from the bottom of thr bilge to the maual pump located in the sink cabinet on the port side and under the seat bench in the forward berth on the starboard side, then out a thru-haul. its rare i get water under the aft berths bilges, but when i do i suck it out with a wet/dry vac.

Awesome, thanks for the info! Do you take showers in yours? If so do you just pump afterwards?
