Hi Guys & Gals,

I've put a deposit down on a boat in Fort Lauderdale and I'm flying over from the UK next month to view/seatrial and survey her.

However, being a Brit, I have no idea of a good Multihull Surveyor in the area. Do you have any recommendations please?

I'll post pictures when she is mine!

Peter Sands in Ft. Lauderdale is one of two generally recognized pros from Dover where multihulls are concerned. He did right by me, Google him.

I did a Fort Lauderdale purchase. The surveyor I used was in bed with the broker. Send me a PM if you would like a name.

As a recently retired SAMS AMS (John is a SAMS AMS) I can tell you that within the surveying industry he is highly regarded.

Well, I've tried to contact John via email, phone and PM - no response. Any other good sailboat guys? Had a suggestion of a Malcolm Elliot but his price is very low and that's nice but it worries me. Also read somewhere he's more a big motorboat guy?
Need to get this arranged for next month - help......!

Initially referred by the Catamaran Company, I highly recommend Jonathan Sands with the Marine Group (954) 881-5588. Very thorough and specializes in multihulls. He's the only one who performed both a moisture check (while hauled) and rigging inspection without my asking - and at no additional charge.

Can't imagine a survey WITHOUT both items being checked....
