2001 Maxim 380 for sale

YOU WILL NOT FIND A CRUISING CAT OF THIS VENTAGE THAT IS IN BETTER CONDITION! COME SEE FOR YOURSELF! S/V Nati is our 2001 Maxim 380 catamaran designed by Alex Simonis. Nati has been maintained in great condition having only two owners since she was brought over from South Africa on a cargo ship. The boat is constructed of FRP and she can easily take you to where ever you want to travel. She is easily sailed by two people. The clean and comfortable interior is a delight to maintain. Nati offers two (2) double cabins, each having its on head/shower in the stern area. Engine rooms are easily accessed from the heads thereby making inspections simple. There is no need to remove bedding to work in the engine room.
The vessel is hand laid-up GRP construction with polyester resin. The boat has forward water tight compartments with horizontal bulkheads and sked supported rudders. The bottom was soda-blasted to bare gel-coat in 2015 and 4 coats of Interportect 2000e epoxy barrier coast was applied along with 1 coast of Seahawk Sharkskin epoxy tie-coat. The bottom then was finished with 3 coasts of bottom paint. The last haulout (9/17) saw 3 coats of Seahawk Biocop applied to the bottom along with 4 coats of Pacifica applied to the sail drives and surrounding area.

Re: 2001 Maxim 380 for sale

Hi,
Nati does not have AC or a generator.

When we bought her 6 years ago we specifically were looking for a boat that was NOT loaded up with extras from 2001. If she had AC and a generator we probably would have replaced them by now like we have with engines, sails, autopilot, batteries, bilge pumps, etc. We also added, NEW (within the last 6 years) items like water maker, wind power, solar, full canvas, carpeting and many more items we wanted. You could do the same. Just add those items.

No. Right now we are in Boot Key and hope to run up the west coast towards Port Charlotte on Thursday and will be spending a couple of months between Tampa and Charlotte Harbor.

We have seen Nati on a couple of occasions and also had a chance to see the owners old F boat before they sold it. They both appeared to be absolutely meticulously maintained. May be worth a look for someone interested in that size cat.

Re: 2001 Maxim 380 for sale

Hi,
Right now we have Nati listed with a broker and the boat is in Port Charlotte. Recently we have lowered the asking price to $195K and will look at all resonable offers.

You won't find a better sailing cruising cat out there!!

Re: 2001 Maxim 380 for sale

I'm still a year out from purchasing, so as not to lead you on;-)
But I was curious, are they wet heads, or is there stand alone showers?
She is a beautiful boat. Good luck on selling her.

Re: 2001 Maxim 380 for sale

You are correct, the heads have the showers built into the faucet for the sink. We use a shamwow and a squeegee so it cleans up in a matter of a minute. Yes, a separate would be better but it has worked fine for us for 6 years.

Good luck finding your boat. Nati will have a new home before 2019!
