Crew Wanted: crew wanted for transatlantic passage

Hello All
In spring of 2020 my intention is to cross the Atlantic from Maine to the Mediterranean, ending on the east coast of Italy.

I am looking for one additional crew besides myself and an experienced sailor coming with me. My experience is both merchant experience and a sailor since the 10 years of age. I have crossed the Atlantic many times, but not under sail.

My crew member has also had many years of sailing experience.

The boat is a 35 foot double ended atkin design. It is a gaff rig with the addition of square rig, possibly the only square rigged cutter on the east coast. The vessel is sound.We will have appropriate navigational and safey gear. We will have weather forcasting. The boat is well equipped and has two cabins for privacy.

I am looking for someone with at least some experience. I can teach them the operation of square rig. We will need help in working the ship and all facets of life aboard.

That's a really long way out for most people to plan.. Anything can happen between now and then even for people that commit early.. I would check back on the forums in maybe Jan 2020...

You are correct and I thank you. But I want to get an idea of whether there was interest. And there is. Anything can happen, but Christmas comes quickly. i will do as you suggest.

I was on a Swan 40 for a week and at 6'2" it is a small boat but not according to most. I would like to join but it seems it would be cramped.
