For Sale: PT11 Nesting
Dinghy with Sailing Kit and Oars
I built this
boat from a PT Watercraft kit, completed in 2017. Used very little and in pristine condition. My Cruisers Forum profile has a ‘PT11’ folder with more photos. Also see
http://www.ptwatercraft.com for extensive information on this design.
The
boat is constructed with West System
epoxy and the
hull exterior painted with Royal Blue
Interlux Perfection. It has most of the options available from PT Watercraft, including the sailing kit (centerboard,
rudder with tiller extension, carbon fiber
mast and battened sail), watertight locker
hatch, oarlocks and rubber bumper rail.
Comes with perfect 7’6” Sitka Spruce oars that have spoon blades, sewn leather, buttons and
fiberglass tip protection. Also removable pneumatic wheels on SS transom brackets to allow one person to maneuver the boat over the ground in one piece without a trolley. The wheels can be inverted when the boat is in the
water or entirely removed and stored in the locker.
My total cost for everything was $5,600. Working alone it took me over 600 hours to carefully build, though that appears to be unusually long.
For sale at $7,000.
I won't arrange
delivery, so the boat must either be picked up from my house in Chattanooga Tennessee or the
shipping entirely arranged by buyer.
