Dufour 412

I was just at a small boat fair in Stockholm, Sweden, and one boat in particular stole the show - the new Dufour 412.

The competition was beneteous, jeanneus, bavarias and arconas.

The dufour 412 had a lot of ni e features such as expandable seats in the cockpit making them wider, a big bath bridge in the aft with a propane grill and good storage. Just lots of nice details.

Anyone already have fitst hand experience of the 412 or from late model Dufours in general?
Thanks

One of our more prolific members, Polux, tells us that Dufour has quality issues which would make it a poor choice when compared to someone like Beneteau.

Hum! I said that a member of this forum that has some charter boats including Dufour says that the built quality is not what it used to be and now the boats are not better built then Beneteau and have given more problem. A friend that is surveyor said to me the same regarding a survey he had made on a recent Dufour.

I don't think that the quality is that different from Beneteau and in fact the 412 (that is a remake from the 410) is a well designed beautiful boat with a nice interior (with a galley a bit small). A bit sticky on light winds I have heard, but great downwind and with medium winds. About the build quality, no comparison with an Arcona, that is at another level of built quality (and price) that was also mentioned by the OP.
