Pacific Seacraft 34 Rain Dog is For Sale!

We are hopping over to the dark side, trawler, gasp. We will list the boat with a broker, but until we reach port we thought we see if we could sell her ourselves. We are in coconut grove, heading for Pensacola.

1989 Crealock 34. 60,000 no haggle price.

Just came from cruising the Bahamas, she can turn around and go now. Lots of goodies, in great shape. Here is a blog post with particulars

Yaah, I heard the sad news. This will sell in what, something like one day? Wish I were ready to move on.

Re: Pacific Seacraft 34 Rain Dog is For Sale!

Oh man Salty, it would be so cool for her to go to someone we know.

This really isn't about the boat but me. Ever since my surgeries( brain tumors), my brain has disliked sailing immensely. My brain trys to reconcile the world at 20-30 degrees but it cannot. I can live with that if it wasn't for the bee stings, I get bee sting like shocks in my head when pounding to windward . Thankfully LOVE for the sea is intact. So we cruise very conservatively, wait for near calm conditions, and end up motoring to our next anchorage. We considered going with a cat or a big heavy mono with lots more waterline to help with the motion but a trawler became more logical.

So you see, for me it's not the journey, but the destination. Get me there so I can play in the sea all day. Thankfully my hubby is not adverse to trawlers, he likes the extra space to have friends and family over. He can go sailing on friends boats to get his sailing fix.

On the up side, we don't have to sell Rain Dog, we can just keep cruising the way we have. We need to pull into port to rebuild the cruising kitty, just thought it was a good time to make the switch.

Thanks for the kind words about rain dog. We are in Miami( guess I should of mentioned that).

gee OG, I didn't know about your health condition. I'm very sorry to hear that.

I like trawlers. Honestly, if I could afford one and I wanted to cruise around the coast incl bahamas, carib, a trawler is the way to go. Simple and a nice pilot house. There;s a reason ships went to power in the 1800s you know.

Thanks, hope that wasn't TMI :-).
I'm posting a pic of the interior per rules. I will post better interior shots as soon as I have time. I hate taking pics of a cluttered boat but that is where we are at right now. We leave tomorrow to head north, gonna hit the Okeechobee to hop over to the west side of Florida.

Ha, if we had that kind of money, we'd buy a gunboat :-)

The boat looks great. I have to believe it will sell really quickly. Trawlers are pretty cool also so good luck.

I love your attitude. Your beautiful boat will sell quickly and you'll have a whole 'nother boat to fill up with stuff and go places!

If it's heeling which bothers you, then why not a sailing catamaran?
