Hallberg Rassy 42 F

Some advice please on the Hallberg Rassy 42 F MK2. Is it very slow with a D/L ratio of more than 300 ?

It's pretty slow. I've passed a few of them on long beats and and was surprised given that they have two feet on me and a V40 while not slow is not exactly a speedster.

Just looked up it's PHRF rating. It's 162, which is surprisingly high. Then again it's a very comfortable ocean boat. Every boat is a compromise.

OK I have not sailed on one, it's the Frers model right?, but, just from the specs and designer, I am suspicious of the "very slow" or "pretty slow" thing. Sure, not designed as a racer but, how was it rigged and sailed? The waterline is only a half foot more than the V40 and it does weigh a couple tons more. I suspect that it is as fast as one would expect for any ocean-going boat with a 34 or 35 foot waterline.
