Fountaine Pajot Window Paint

Does anyone know what works to repaint the black trim on the old FPs?

Cat Tales is a 1996 Tobago, and there are areas where the window paint has worn off - most likely and most often where it has contacted lotions and SPF creams. What has worked for you to replace this black paint?

By my reckoning, maybe a flat black paint used on autos and automobile modellers - but I do not know. Who has tried? What did NOT work?

I bought a 1995 Tobago last year and I was wondering if you have any sketches on the running rigging or how the stack pack works with the reefing system.

Sorry, but we don’t have a stack pack. I doubt that it is original equipment.

Sonosailor, I have a 1993 Privilege with six very large fixed lexan portlights, all of which are trimmed with flat black coating. About ten years ago, I applied two coats of Awlgrip with flattening agent, using small foam rollers after wiping down with lacquer thinner; and it still appears as new. Although not inexpensive, Awlgrip covers a lot with a very small amount. Be sure to follow their instructions.

Maybe a dumb question - is the paint around the surround of the window where it covers the bonding material underneath? If this is so, there is a black UV tape available which is recommended by Sika to protect the 295 sealant from UV degrading.
