I might be buying a boat in PERU...

There is a very small chance that I might be buying a boat that is in Lima, Peru. I will be looking at Noonsite to see what info is there but would also like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of that area.
My plan would be to sail non-stop from Lima to Panama.
Food should be no problem for provisioning. Are there ships chandeliers in Lima? If we need to put in to the coast along the way are there decent places to stop north of Lima in Peru or in Ecuador or Columbia?
The passage would be in July-September. Is that a good time of year?
