Re: Marinas with Hard Storage Valencia/Alicante

Hard standing is pretty limited around the Costa Blanca area. If there is a bit of land available near the sea then a big expensive house will be built on it!

The only place I can think of that has any significant space is right at the southern end of Alicante Province and that is Cartagena. There may be somewhere in the Valencia city area, maybe around the container ports where you could get hauled ashore.

I have a place in Moraira that has a very nice, quite big marina but it only has hard standing for maybe 10 boats at a time. It is also ridiculously expensive.

You'll find far more people with knowledge of this area if you head over to the Yachting & Boating World forums. Mainly Brits with quite a bit of Med knowledge. I would put the link but cruisersforum usually remove links to 'competitors'.

Good luck finding somewhere.

Valencia is beautiful but difficult, as it lacks naval infrastructure. The best Marina is Marina Valencia (ex Marina Real Juan Carlos I) but does not offer places on the hard, some might be available at the second Valencia Marina, Club Nautico Real. But check out Buriana Nova, which is a little bit North of Valencia.

Re: Marinas with Hard Storage Valencia/Alicante

I'm currently in Cartagena marina and my boat is being lifted next month for antifouling. The problem I've experienced is that any of the boat yards I've contacted from Cartagena to Valencia won't let you work on your own boat below the waterline.

This is the company in Cartagena who are lifting my boat and doing the antifouling. http://www.varaderoascar.es

Almerimar will let you do whatever.

So to San Pedro a bit further north.
