Hi all! I'm 42, and based in
Seattle with a wife, and two boys, 7 and 8. As a child and teenager I lived on and delivered many boats, as my father is a professional yacht
captain. I crewed as my summer jobs on passages to
Hawaii, and back and forth between US coasts, 5 times through the
Panama Canal in all, plus a bunch of other miscellaneous deliveries.
I didn't sail much for many years, but the last couple I've been sailing with my
family frequently on keelboats ~27 ft long plus a couple of charters on 40 footers. We are generally trying to ready ourselves for a 1 year "try it out" sabbatical on a sailboat in 2020. We will be aboard my father's personal
boat, Angel Glow, a 40' Bill Garden wooden
ketch. It is undergoing a massive refit/reimagining in Trinidad. If we like it, we will
purchase our own, larger, more modern
boat.
Here is an album of that
refit.
