2016 rally Philippines to Indonesia

For the 5th year in a row, yachts will sail together from the Southern Philippines to Indonesia. As usual the rally will depart Holiday Oceanview marina in Samal, next to Davao City and sail to Sangihe, Morotai, Wayag Islands & Raja Ampat. But NEW this year, the organizers changed the departure to the 3th of May 2016 to take better advantage of the tradewinds. After enjoying Raja Ampat in June, yachts will then have the options to sail back to the Philippines or sail to Palau taking advantage of the Southerly tradewinds now present. Many will sail west to Komodo, Lombok & Bali to arrive in Western Kalimantan for Sail Karimata 2016 at the end of October. That will be just in time to check out to sail to Singapore,/Malaysia before the end of the 6-month visitor visas. Yachts sailing west will be able to join Sail Indonesia and those sailing back to the Philippines will arrive early August, in time to participate to the famous Kadayawan Festival in Davao.
