Catamaran sailing Caribean

We will be arriving in the Caribean around Xmas with our Fountaine Pajot
Lavezzi 40ft cat.
Visit the Caribean for nearly a year before heading to Panama, and invite people aboard, we have 4 double cabins so enough space.
This is a shared adventure where cooking, cleaning and shopping go together
with navigation and having fun!
We love fishing and snorkeling and hope to catch/eat a lot of fish.
Looking for crew to exchange views and kitchen colors, no real experience
needed but a sense of responsability and adventure and respect towards
the boat and your fellow-crew!
This is not a free ride; you will be paying a daily contribution which goes
towards all food and boat expenses, alcohol and landtrips are seperate!
Contact us through private mail
arrival probably st.Lucia
Hasta luego

Re: Catamaran sailing Caribean

How long are you looking to have people aboard for? Can you also share a little bit more about your day to day along with what the daily or monthly contribution would be?

Re: Catamaran sailing Caribean

How much would you expect the crew to pay? Is it an even split of costs or just paying for food and things purchased on land?

Re: Catamaran sailing Caribean

To avoid enormous discussions about boat contributions I did not want to mention that here and have people contact me privately!
On the other hand to avoid a lot of people sending messages who
think that this could be a great free ride I am going to mention it here anyhow,
Our daily contribution consists of all food and soft drinks on board, with the exception of alcohol, also included is gasoline for the two engines! petrol for
the dinghy, harbour- and immigration fees! this amount is set at; 50 euros
a day if for the duration of one week, for longer periods we are negotiable!
Thank you for only replying if you are intrested in such a voyage!
fair winds

Re: Catamaran sailing Caribean

Greetings captain,
On my card, I have " Ole salt sailor adventurist ", In the past 4 years, I have had the pleasure of rekindling my love ,fear relationship with that wonderful woman the sea. I sailed a 30 ft. Lipincott from kent island, maryland How cool it was to drop anchor @ sunset in key west on Christmas eve. did the winter workin crab & lobster boats, was fun interesting & a nice reminder, I can still work my ass off, which made me reconsider why , I was there. Than did a stint on a morgan to Bahamas's with a mate & a new boat buyer, what an adventure that turned out to be. after 3 1/2 days of 65 m.p.h. winds & 20 ft. seas, we had the owner take them helm, for no sleep or food for the 3 days, we were spent. He quickly & most efficiently got relieved after capsizing the vessel. when the electric & motor decided they cared not to work underwater, luckiely a flashlight had just a dim of a glow to hold her due east ,until the sound of the surf, we beached # cape Canaveral, glad as I was to be on land, had I found the beach 3 miles south, I coulda toured the launch pad, or 3 miles north, I could have had the pleasure of the nude beach, but no, I choosed smack in the middle of nowhere, any whoot this past may did a 1400 mile sail on a 50 ft. ketch which was an epic adventure. So I have about 10,000 miles under sail, about 500,000 under power vessels, from being a navigator in oil research prior to these new fangled dangled gps's. man there nice ,but, im confused by them, & I suck at getting oil under my fingernails. however, I'm as easy to get along with as the stars are beautiful @ night, I have all the time in the world & its about time again to go see it breathe it & enjoyed. I'll make a hellva third hand for the 3rd mate, can stay at the helm for 12 to 18 when or if required, look forward to hearing from ya ... @ times speak up ...

Re: Catamaran sailing Caribean

I am interested in joining you for a couple of month in Caribbean starting about Xmas. No problem in covering costs. I am experienced sailor, cruised a 40 foot cat in Bahamas, and cruise of coast of California where I live. My girl friend and I enjoy adventure, snorkeling, and are willing to help with any work on the boat. I am engineer, so enjoy solving technical problems.
