Ralph was kind enough to send me his 4JH fuel injection pump removal tool. It worked like a champ, less than 3 hour job from traveling to the boat to final cleanup. If anyone has a need for the tool send me a PM and I will be happy to forward it.

I don’t know what did break the springs, but I doubt it was fuel.
Hopefully they were incorrectly heat treated or something.

I'd be inclined to change all four of them.
