1981 Tartan 33

Located on Pine Island, FL (west of Cape Coral) - 1981 Tartan 33 asking $10,000. Draft 4'6" - Scheel keel, good shoal draft. Needs some updating, but still a great, strong boat from a pedigreed builder for a cruising couple or young family. Main, furling jib and new spars in '05; rebuilt engine, Origo 2-burner stove; dodger with extension and separate bimini for helm, 2 anchors & rodes. Additional photos available if you're interested. Moving to the dark side (trawler) after all these years of sailing.

Looks nice.

Friendly Suggestion: post additional photos in the comments below your post, showing the cockpit, the galley, and the head.

Good luck on your sale and future cruising.

Re: 1981 Tartan 33

Engine was a rebuilt engine - Universal 5424 diesel, 24hp, purchased from a fellow sailor who was repowering; hours unknown, currently working fine. Approx 28 gal fuel tank, new sender; 2 water tanks, about 60 gals total; holding tank approx 15 gals; wind speed & direction, depth sounder, vhf; Bruce 33lb primary, on bow roller, with 20ft chain and about 250 ft nylon 3-strand rode; secondary anchor is a 20lb Danforth with chain & rode. Mast, boom & standing rigging replaced in 2005. Furlex furler for jib. Mast height clearance (including instruments) about 54ft. Will have some further photos posted shortly

Autopilot is an autohelm, with spare motor and belts. Worked great this last weekend on our trip to and from Venice, FL from St James City

We stayed at the Crow's Nest, went to the Sun Fiesta downtown. Took the inside passage back to the dock on Pine Island

Re: 1981 Tartan 33

I found a layout drawing for a Tartan 33. (Unsure of year)

Confirm with the owner that this is the layout for his boat.

I am posting it to show the layout.

Hope this helps.
