I cannot really comment on the Roberts because I have no experience with that design (and the boat is only half built). But I will say that the Adams 40 is a proven cruising design. The boat doesn't look perfect, but at that price, it wouldn't have to be. That is a very cheap price for an Adams 40, so I would say it would be worth having a real look.
