When ya get to Bahamas and start exploring the hundred or so islands, be sure to check out Eluthra, it is part of the out islands. Eluthra has the friendliest people and is very pretty above and below the waterline.
It sounds like you already found a boat (?) If not, Clear Lake area has a good variety of boats for sale. Also, there are still some good deals to be had from IKE.
