Huge tides here in Beaufort, NC, as well.....had to walk up to the floating docks.
Beach eroision is huge.... the end of the handicap ramp at Fort Macon Beach is 5 feet above the ground, due to the sand wash out....that sand is now in the inlet!!!!

On top on the moon position, we get wind tides.
We are in between Core and Bogue Sounds and the wind will drive the water into Taylor Creek and flood Front Street in Beaufort.
Wind has shifted, should be back to normal today.....except for the trash.......
