I have talked to two different people at Tallahassee. According to them, I cannot get a title without going before the court in Martin County to plead my case that I do own this boat. I take all of my paperwork - including insurance payments, etc - and explain my situation. In preparation for doing this, I have sent a request to Tallahassee to get a copy of the forms sent to them by Fish and Wildlife. Don't know how long that will take.

It is very frustrating that this is so difficult. I totally understand that I need to prove I own the boat but I fear that this will never happen. Our alternate plan is to figure out how to keep it registered in the Bahamas and get another cruising permit for Florida. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of times we can get a cruising permit?
