I'm using a Garmin 5012. It has a few pairs of TX and RX lines. I am attempting to connect to the NMEA input on the Raymarine device. If the Raymarine -ve needs only be connected to ground then would it be ok to leave free? I'll give this a go when I'm back behind there.
