I just bought Catamarans by Gregor Tarjan, the 2007 version. It is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

The first part of the book describes all kinds of technical things. The latter part of the book gives reviews on dozens of "worthy" modern day cruising catamarans. It is just the kind of book I needed to read in order to help me decide.
