Given the discussion in this thread I really think Practical Boat Owner the best, if only they made a US version. My previous boat was a British make (Westerly) so much of PBO was directly relevant. Now, if someone would just copy their format and make a US version... that, I would subscribe to.

I agree that for new boaters the magazines would be helpful. But I'd advise examining them each month at the news stand and buying individual issues as seem appropriate rather than subscribing to any one of them (unless steep discounts are available). For the cost of a coffee you can flip through the stack each month and choose.
