I'm based in the Netherlands. That's quite European I should think.
Problem with Europe is, of course, that there are so many languages. Problem with US is that the universal use of English is being taken for granted. It is not, you see. I happen to have a gift for languages, and so I am quite able to not just speak but also write in English. For many non-British Europeans this is not the case.
