Thanks Steve. Since my first note, I have been making a few calls, and Noakes seemed most interested to help.

The railway bridge will not be a problem because our air draft is only about 7.5 metres - we hope to cruise the river as far as Windsor. I recently bought and am now digesting the book Cruising Guide to the Hawksbury River. It has lots of useful information although it is not really a guide to services along the river. Alan Lucas also deals with the river as far as Windsor. Between Sydney and Broken Bay/Hawksbury, we expect to be able to amuse ourselves for summer! Perhaps we'll see you on the water.
