Hello to all,

I am a new user. I own a 30' steel sailyacht constructed in Cyprus. I intent to change the drains on the cockipt. My idea is to use steinless steel pipe which will be welded on the mild steel plade. Previously the boat had drain pipes made with steel and was totally destroyed by rust.

I have a very slight idea about galvanic corrosion when two dissimilar metals are welded together. My question is doable without any galvanic problems? This installation will be above waterline.
I would appreciate views on this...
