Another Schipperke here. He's on his second tour of duty now, having spent the first 6 years of his life living aboard our last boat. Now he's 12 and a half and moves a lot slower, but still has his sea legs.
Russelmania, I don't worry too much about the swimming part. Our little man was never big on the swimming, he just likes to wade out chest deep off of the beach. There's that old saying, "The best Captain is the one who doesn't know how to swim, because he's gonna make
damn sure the boat gets back to port!!!"
