I can understand the reluctance -- I have developed useful things (PowerPoint presentations) based on my experiences that I find very hard to simply distribute. I am quite willing to support your efforts -- it is one thing to send a list, it is another thing to send a spreadsheet. Having a way such as Excel provides to quickly manipulate the information based on quantity and category is worth being compensated for.
