There was a pretty good flow of homeland security money to state and local agencies that dovetailed...

But that wouldn't dry up just because of curbing states ability to fool with jurisdiction...

Having a say doesn't mean unreasonable restriction of US navigable waterways which already has the pretty good stewardship in charge of them ...the USCG.

I think it already does to some extent...last I heard insurance rates for vessels to cross an ocean are scary...that's why so many do it uninsured.

Sure they can be turned on and off...but the "design" of an EPIRB is for one rescue..not multiple rescues.

There are stories of how people managed their EPIRB in what they thought was the proper...

yeah... they pretty much are...including PLBs.

You replace the batteries after each use and for some that's a chunk of change...it has been as high as 1/2 the price of the EPIRB....not sure...

I agree you shouldn't depend on them or anyone else when going to sea.

I just believe there's more to your stories as none of them go with USCG protocols...especially pronouncing someone...

I just used the cheapo bilge flex hose...3 years and no smells (don't get anything in the vent and it won't.)..it's only needed to transfer air/vapor...which it does quite well...and it's extremely...
