Re: Time for a bottom job already?

If you (or anyone) is leaning towards a copper-loaded epoxy like Coppercoat, I would encourage you to do extensive research on its performance in your intended cruising grounds. There are certainly...

Re: Ultrasonic antifouling

No, I don't suppose you would. I get it- your deal is that you come in here, throw a snide remark or two around, make some bold claim and when you're called on it, refuse (or are unable) to back it...

Re: Ultrasonic antifouling

Hmmm... OK. I guess Lars sent his communication to a different CleanBoat back in March. And I guess it's just a coincidence you joined the forum today and happened across this thread. Nobody clued...

Unless you can back up your bold talk with some documentation, it's just more hot air, chief.

Re: Time for a bottom job already?

You will find very few people who have anything negative to say about Trinidad, regardless of where it is used. I consider it to be the best hard anti fouling paint available in this country. My...

Re: Time for a bottom job already?

Anti fouling paint doesn't eliminate growth, it merely retards it. Regular in-water hull cleaning is a normal part of boat maintenance and you are shortening your paint's lifespan and hastening the...

Re: Are Liveaboards Unwanted? Disliked? All over Everywhere?

Just to be clear- I have no problem with liveaboards or anchor-outs, as long as they play be the rules that the rest of us agree to play by. Don't like the rules? Tough noogies. Get 'em changed if...

Re: Are Liveaboards Unwanted? Disliked? All over Everywhere?

Yes, and it's every bit as illegal and uncool as anchoring out in Richardson Bay.

Re: Are Liveaboards Unwanted? Disliked? All over Everywhere?

That's a statement you pulled out of your rear end. Further, it has absolutely nothing with illegal anchor-outs in Richardson Bay.

You could park 100 derelict campers on my street. That...

Re: Are Liveaboards Unwanted? Disliked? All over Everywhere?

You don't get to park your derelict camper on a public street so that you can live in it for free. Richardson Bay is no different.

Re: Are Liveaboards Unwanted? Disliked? All over Everywhere?

The areas you mention that do not have intrusive government oversight are sparsly populated. Here in the Bay Area there are over 7,000,000 residents and over 20,000 boats vying for places to live....

Re: Are Liveaboards Unwanted? Disliked? All over Everywhere?

The Richardson Bay Regional Agency (RBRA) had nothing to do with the Google barge at Treasure Island. The RBRA does not have jurisdiction at Treasure Island. The Bay Conservation and Development...
