Re: Is an Atomic 4 worth rebuilding?

Check out MoyerMarine.com, there are forums there you can peruse to help figure out if salvageable or not. MoyerMarine is also the "GOTO" company for all things A-4. I have 2 A-4's that I am working...

Re: Wing Keel?

I also have a 1978 Ranger 28 that I am working on, it is a full fin keel and I am told that the previous owner faired it and made it to where it can point high and not loose any speed. He won many...

Re: Wing Keel?

I have a 1990 Catalina Capri 16 with a wing keel. One advantage to this is trailerability over full fin keels. The Capri "Plan B" does not point well to wind, I have tried several times to see how...

Re: Damage from Overheating?

If you added water while the engine was hot, you can crack something in the engine. Otherwise, you should be fine unless the overheating was a bit extreme.

Stugeron? I kept thinking you were saying Sturgeon... like in sturgeon eggs. I kept rereading it until I got the spelling figured out. LOL

Re: First Sailboat. Help!

Catalina 22 is a good start, but you can also get your hands on a single sailboat like a sunfish or similar. You can car top those and just play around with it. Don't even need an engine. My dad and...

Progressive? It was the only one that would insure my 1978 Ranger 28 with 100/300 liability which is required by the marina.
