It's a biplane rig. They work GREAT! But just like any double masted boat, there is a point of sail where the windward sail blankets the leeward. On a biplane rigged cat, that is 90 degrees apparent....

I, for one, just keep on barreling downwind and after sheeting out to the max, completely unhook the sheet from the deck and let the sail weathercock downwind, then drop the mainsail, reef, whatever....

My two 9.9 outboards are mounted on my the transoms of my 36' cat.
Yes, they totally lose their bite on the water in any waves at all.
I would love to move them forward, but 1)they work good...

I would also like to make clear that these clutches have been used for two seasons and show signs of wear accordingly.
They work perfectly, but they are used.
