i only use the wind vane going upwind, and mostly because a can set the autopilot set to it. dead downwind or so i think is not so useful as the telltailes coming off the main.

Birds keep trashing the sender unit in top of mast, i was thinking if any one have installed a wireless unit in the bow ?

You are very right, the anchor after dragging was pulled out with a big chunk of mud and gras on top of it, i think the only way to improve the holding after reading all this post is to buy a bigger...

i have a freedom 33 cb, i love the system, never a noise or trouble, is almost 40 years old and bullet proof. i never raise the cb all the way up so if i get in trouble i just raise it a little more...
