Many of our good boats get snapped up by Americans. To best of my knowledge if the boat is built in Canada or the USA it crosses duty free under NAFTA rules.

A little experience on this subject.

The tach is a special fit into the instrument cluster. A quarter turn with lugs locks into the plastic. It is an odd size.
