Re: Most absurd statement by Honda dealer. You won't believe this!

Of course it runs better in everything. It has higher BTU/unit than ethanol. Put it in your car and your milage goes up. We are paying subsidies to farmers and fermenters to dilute our fuel with...

Re: Keep or toss Toaster Oven and Microwave?

We have an old fashioned toaster. It is probably more efficient than a toaster oven if all you do is toast and biscuits. We also have a smallish microwave. We only use these two items hooked up at...

Re: Self Inspection of Life Raft

it costs 2000 to 3000 squids in the US and that doesn't include the extra squids for supplies. As was noted above - lawyers, insurance underwriters etc. The same bunch involved in making sure our...

Re: My Rudder Post, She Is Crying

Don't know what type of bearing it might need but you can deal directly with IGUS and pay way less for the part. My 2-1/2 inch bore lower bearing cost me 7.50 shipped directly to my desk at work. ...

Re: Bent danforth anchor - ideas how to fix?

Do not heat it. You will reduce the strength of the steel and you will loose the galvanizing in the hot zone. Then you can scrap it.

Take it to a machine shop with a hydraulic or heavy mechanical...

Re: Mainsail Head Car and Track Problem

At this point, I suggest that you visit the top of the mast on a totally windless day while the main is up. Take a camera and observe what is going on. It sould be obvious. I have also had success...

Re: Carpal tunnel & trigger finger -- where to get treatment?

I had carpel surgery about 8 years ago. It was done by scope. Only two stitches each wrist. I hardly noticed except it stopped bothering me. I see no loss in strength at all. The same surgon did...
