I have several gps devices, two chronometers, compass, paper charts, and a sextant for navigation.

Autopilot and windvane for steering.

Do not need anything else.

I had this happen when I turned off the 'ignition' switch while the engine was still running. The solenoid is powered by 12v through the ignition switch.

Our old 1500 watt Heart inverter powers an old microwave just fine. Battery charging circuitry inside the inverter chassis charges batteries when the inverter is connected to shore power.

Yes, I agree. Mounting high on the mizzen was key.

I think the 5 blade is quieter also.

There are several wind generators, of the type shown in this thread, on boats in my marina. They are mounted on poles. In low winds they are often still while my 5 blade D400 is silently spinning 35...

Looks like my Wagner. Mine is 25+ years old. Rebuild kits are available. I rebuilt mine 6 months ago.

Why is the Yanmar engine located under the galley sink?

Is there a watermaker on board? Could engine raw water intake supply a watermaker with the other seacock for reject brine exaust?

Blind Faith has hydraulic steering. The original owner installed a Cetek autopilot which works perfecctly. I added a Hydrovane which also works most of the time. I also added a D400 wind turbjne...

I have a Racor 500 filtering fuel for my Perkins 4.236. It is mounted at the highest point in the fuel system making filter changes quick and easy.

I had the same pre warning about arc welding. Annoying but I can live with that. After installation I was told the pacer has a crush depth of 2.5 atmospheres. 48 feet! That was more than annoying.
