Both of those stories indicate that if the wind is blowing at all that the oars of most dinghies are worthless. Maybe a drogue would be best. Certainly easier to store.

Mine started complex and ended more or less simple like Jim Cats. More of a journal than a true log. Only coastal cruising though and mostly day sails so not really as important I guess.

So you will have to filter quite a bit from "owners" with bias and "outsiders".
Many times here on CF "outsiders" have been disqualified because they have no real experience with the item in...

Unless he wants to move somewhere. Then cleaning the bottom is like mowing the grass.......only different.

I was in the keys for two weeks or so with good bottom paint that never before grew...

That is what I was thinking about when wondering why it was so hard for you to figure out the boat.
