Re: Takacat Catamaran Dinghy

Compared to paddling my paddle board, which is my 99% go to tender, I think it'll do just fine. If it's THAT windy out, I'll stay on my big boat. Or get help with a tow. Or SAIL it-WAY faster than...

Top speed of 4 knots with Minnkota 55.
Yes, it'll probably be a little wet, but in the world of boat compromises, this thing...

Re: Baja Haha News From Latitude 38 Today, Oct 1. 2014

For reals? $150ish worth of TIP?
On a different note...
If one is to be trailering a boat into Mexico this year, is it better (easier) to get the necessary TIP's before hand, online? Or does that...

Re: Setting the Anchor on a Cat

Yeah. Any cat that anchors off the center of the crossbeam (most) might not want to try my technique.

Re: Setting the Anchor on a Cat

Well, I do things a bit differently...
I don't have a windlass, and my main anchor lives in the starboard bow.
I prefer to come at my anchor spot downwind, with only my starboard mainsail slightly...
