Phil, as one who has dabbled in design you really need to explain the ramifications of adding buoyancy aft to an existing hull.

Great when the displacement is shared equally between the two hulls....

Sorry to be pedantic but is that TWO in each hull, making FOUR total in boat , or is that ONE per hull , making TWO total. Post #84 is not clear on this point.

All good points Red. In this particular case we are trying to support 18 tons at say bridge deck level. If there is no interest in flotation void spaces then a quick back of the napkin calculation...
