Re: Depth sounder reading really shallow depths when itís much deeper

probably totally unrelated but when I first got the boat I was sailing in what seemed clearly deep water, confirmed by charts, the depth sounder suddenly started showing not much water. I found...

Re: Salt Water Crocs in the Whitsundays

We mustn't taste too good. The amount of bites that leave people gushing blood and the sharks just seem to let the people swim or paddle to safety. You would think there is ample opportunity to...

Re: I need a better catch for kick up rudders

That's a lot better than I was thinking.

I would...

Re: I need a better catch for kick up rudders

My big concern from yesterday was if I broke both rudder straps at once in weather I'm in trouble. So I thought I needed something that I can quickly restore steering. Then thought why not have it...

Re: did my anchor slip? GPS attached

Just a caution:

I use a Lenovo tablet (second one, 1st was cheap. The 2nd middle of the road) and the GPS is total rubbish. Sitting on my table at work it can move a couple of hundred metres in...

I need a better catch for kick up rudders

I broke two of the sacrificial timber straps that hold the rudders down on the weekend. There was a fair bit of wind around and confused swell and chop most about 1 to 1.5m but a few sets came...

That will be a nice easy fix. Thanks.

Daggerboard modification to raise and lower under load

I can not move mine if I'm moving, even if I unload them. It's starting to annoy me and I notice on some videos that others can move them even when loaded.

Do those ones run on roller guides or...

Re: Spectra rigging? What do you think

I'm convinced, something that saves weight, I can do...

Hi Cherp

Did you DIY or did you have it done for you? If you DIY where did you get your material and advise?

It used to pump mist and spray forwards over the...
