Many of these items with MMSI in the US are regulated as not changeable by the user. AIS is one for example. The device may need to go to the manufacturer's service site or perhaps they can help...

All valid points, however, many places Auto upgrade devices that are nearly new. Some places replace when the battery is expired. A good check might be to consult the Red Cross or EMT techs...

As above, block the air intake. If you can't otherwise find the problem, Diesels are known to run on by burning the oil in the crank case. Usually means the rings are gone or other really bad...

Flex teak is attractive enough. I believe it is hotter than white glass decks.

If you remove teak that was screwed on be sure the holes are properly filled AND add a layer of veil over the deck...
