“Replace with same” is usually the best, fastest, cheapest solution.

I have not worked with ultrasonic mast head units (though I have an ultrasonic handheld) but a reasonably tech savvy friend...

Yes, you are missing lots of issues, and not “seeing” them does not make them disappear.

Mishandling storage batteries is dangerous. Period. To argue otherwise is totally futile IMHO.

PS, if you know how to change a light fixture properly, then there is no need to hire a professional to do it. If you don’t, or don’t have time, then hiring a professional would be a valid option.

No, I do not prefer all wiring to be done by a professional for a fee.

No, I am not kidding.

This is not a laughing matter.

IMHO many are way too lax when handling hazardous, dangerous materials, and a 12 Vdc marine battery certainly fits this classification.

Take a 12 Vdc power supply with current limiting or over-current protection (1A is sufficient) so if anything is wrong with the system or your wiring to it, you do not create sparks and...
