No, created a rebate in the mold so window was flush. We found deck mold in a paddock so was easy to do during its refurbishment.

Dow795 with VHB tape inside. 8yrs now no leaks. Slightly lighter colour and some leaching below on fg that wipes off though. Brutal uv here.

Watching this thread with INTEREST! Just about to do my new recessed no fastener acrylic windows.
I beleive there is a paint you apply the same colour as the 795 to inside face of window to blank...
