That would help, and at the end of the first paragraph of the Layer section you might add "Layers may be imported temporarily or permanently." And have a link to the that section.

I have only used temporary layers but decided to make a permanent layer of anchorages.

Large layer files are a problem, as well as large track files etc. One solution is to get a faster computer. Or divide the layers by type e.g. marinas, anchorages, bridges, etc. This works for me...

What I think we're talking about is chart clutter.

I would like to have a way to turn hide all WP names. A check box in the Route Manager would be nice. SAS Planet has this.

If something falls on the return key, all the marks created will have the same name and, most likely, be at the top of the waypoints list. Simply select the first and last and "delete".
