Ive attached the dmesg output for others to take a look at and comment on. Also send it off to a friend to see if a different opinion comes back. Lets see what comes of this.

Final comment on this. Everything else looks good, its just the controller that is not working properly that is the kernel module not the hardware. Its being worked on so eventually this will work...

Here is the reason. The usb controller cannot be managed by the linux kernel at this...

Not even close to a howto Armido..what Im getting at is that at this early stage machine output to support an opinion is critical. At this time we dont even know if all the hardware is detected...

I would go with ubuntu...as there kernel support is more advanced then debian. A couple of things Armdo.

send me a copy of dmesg just after you plugin the gps unit to the system. That would be helpful. You can start gpsd manually. man gpsd is you friend. udev is not a factor here, well not at this...

It does not matter....here is why. Once you start linux, it takes over the machine in terms of the hardware recognition. What it, linux can see, it will talk too. So whats happening on the android...

Got nothing at the referenced email address. Dmesg is the critical one as it tells you what dev the USB is attached two. You are seeing two devices. So try this.

1. Install gpsd and gpsdclients...
