There is a difference in planning short trips (direct course) and planning long routes crossing the equator or near the poles - due to the (not perfect) shape of the earth - sorry, cant explain this...

You are damned right! I tried yesterday to input the signal from my DSC radios (4800bd) to my AIS blackbox to get them bundled with the AIS signal and converted to 38400bd (this is the way the box...
