Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
I had my 31er on a travel lift many times. Not a problem. I made sure it was carried near the A - Frames and mine were stainless plus I was confident that all the connections were strong. But if... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Yep, Special boats. FYI. I sold my 31 er in Port St Lucie after a wonderful trip from CT. Drole D'Oiseau may be somewhere in Mexico. At least that was the new owner's plan. Hope all is well with... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
I seriously think they should consider giving it away to some worthy person or couple. |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Lots of entry points in these boats but at least they're all exposed to the eye. My arms are all stainless. I guess aluminum arms are okay I don't know. I don't think you said where this boat is |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
I was happy to meet both of them here in Port St Lucie before they crossed. These cold fronts have brought some funny weather. I'm hoping to meet up with them on my 31er in February. |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Can you comment more on the honeycomb epoxy skins? I mean are they just the kind of plastic Honeycombs you pick up at Home Depot and such? |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Re: bare wood. I haven't been able to detect any significant rot on my 31er. (AMA hatches need work as do forward wet locker). But the interior okume of the amas look kind of bare and worn in... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
OB on sled okay. A downside is being on the wrong "tack" when motoring or heading into a chop and getting too much cavitation. Always a trade off. |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
No, not going to point without headsail but. . . I leave and return to mooring or anchor location with just the main. That way I don't have to take it down prior to return and don't have to bother... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
I have a Suzuki DF 9.9 btx High thrust 4 blade 10 x 5 pitch. So you're saying that if I change props I can get better performance? |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
The pics are what my SR31 looks like. I wouldn't mind having a 20HP with the same weight. It would give a bit more umph in flat water where the current is an issue (New England). At 3500 RPM in... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
I got a trim tab (don't really use it without the wind vane) but was thinking just put steps on either side of the rudder. Probably not convenient for guests or kids but would br okay for me. Still... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Interesting ideas. Since I have an A-frame I'm thinking of a small folding plank that I can attach to the stainless steel arm and have a drop down and sink into the water. Then I can just pull it... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Not real happy with this sites search engine. Hard to find specific stuff. I'm loooking to build a swim platform between the hulls on my A-Frame. One that I can raise and lower as needed. I... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
No I wasn't aware of that rally. I did go on the rally to the 1500 some years ago. I've made the trip to the BVI and back twice on the outside. Never done the inside. Going alone I'm thinking about... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Thanks for the offer and the information. Right now I'm planning to leave sometime toward the end of September. I'd like to be on the east coast and go to the Bahamas this winter but I'm open to any... |

Re: Trimaran - Especially Searunner - Owners
Maybe this is the wrong thread to put this in but I'm wondering if some of you guys know of a reasonably priced yard for winter storage for my 31ers? Preferably on the East Coast. Some of you may... |
