Yep.

The dinghy is a hard choice.

We started with an inflatable and I hated it,

Now I have been using our friends nested dinghy, and I hate it.

But off course things can be maintained and restored at anchor or underway.

I have recently completely restored a wooden classic while sailing her from Bombay to Sydney! We had some issues...

Yep.

The medical things vary wildly. We saw people treated at no cost in 'expensive' FP, and others, who were asked USD 6000 for 5 days in 'cheap' Brazil.

No hard rules, other than take good...

I will disagree with the flipflops. I think they are very poor VFM and as such they do not belong here. Even worse, wearing flipflops may lead to the shoestring sailor being taken for a middle class...
