I've considered stuff like NuTeak and Lonseal, but it seems pretty damn expensive for what it is. For not much more, I could get Teak/Holly ply and have a much easier installation.

no cardboard or wood at all in the product, at least from what I felt while touching it. It seems 100% plastics/rubber/etc. I'm not sure, as it says 100% waterproof, why it wouldn't work in a boat....
